Define the managed water area

Open-water projects begin with the area an operator manages. Map swimming zones, shoreline access, camera positions and staff routes. SAFE SWIM applies camera-based analysis to support monitoring and alerts in these environments.

  • Identify boundaries and access points.
  • Review camera views across the water and shoreline.
  • Confirm how staff reach each monitored area.

Link location with response

An open-water alert should help the team identify where attention is needed. Plan how the event location is communicated, who receives it and which on-site procedure follows. Review the workflow using the venue’s own operating scenarios.

  • Configure monitored zones and alert recipients.
  • Demonstrate location information to the response team.
  • Test the full notification and response procedure.

Explore Taiwan’s coastal and river cases

The global deployments page includes Tainan Golden Coast and Taoyuan Yunei Creek. These cases show different site contexts: a beach environment and a natural river recreation area. Review each project’s own deployment information when planning a site.

  • Read the beach monitoring case.
  • Explore the river site implementation.
  • Discuss a site-specific monitoring plan with SAFE SWIM.

Prepare your site with the deployment guide
